I love all of the designs from French design company la cerise sur le gateau the embodied details, the Libertyesque fabrics, the amazing colour combinations.

These cute very vintage looking silhouette children tin signs are irresistible, they are roughly 25 x 25cm and retail for around $20 each. 

These happy little felt home accessories are from from the heart of the Himalayas, Muskhane brings you a universe of poetry, softness and colour. They are due in store over the next few weeks.

Doug up on Bourke

I had a great girls day yesterday, full of giggles, shopping, eating and drinking. The plan was to check out Doug up on Bourke, a collector/vintage/props hire store in Waterloo Sydney and that we did. It was full of everything you can imagine from a taxidermy camel to a pair of old undies (see below). After we'd educated ourselves on what was "vintage", we set off for Mitchell Road Auctions and all five of us came out with arms loaded. Very happy shoppers. My special treat was the T.H Brown bar stool above... very nice.

Atomic Ranch

A year or so ago a friend introduced me to Atomic Ranch magazine and I sat on his lounge room floor devouring issue after issue. So I'm guessing my sweet husband thought it would make a great Christmas gift. My first copy arrived in the mail today and here I am sitting with a nice cup of tea in my Hornsea cup, at my Parker and Chiswell dinging table looking out the window of my own little midcentury ranch in Frenchs Forest, dropping names here there and everywhere, feeling a lot like a mid century kind a gal!

Mmmmmm.... maybe I should stock this magazine.

Sounds in the Woods

I discovered Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu a few years ago while I was looking for something beautiful, gentle and calming to play in the shop. I have this little thing where I go to the Aria award winners in Best World Music, they always seem to be such amazing albums and this is where I discovered Geoffrey. If you have time read his bio, I can't begin to list the amazing things this extremely talented blind multi-instrumentalist has achieved. Australian music at it's very best.
